Volodymyr Lytvyn: It is necessary to elaborate the Draft State Budget, since the Law on the Increase of Social Standards was adopted, the Veto on the Law on a New Version of the Budget Code being not overridden

elaboration of the Draft
State Budget appeared during the
work over the document.
In particular, the
law on the increase of the social standards and presidential veto on the new version of the Budget Code shall be taken into account.
V. Lytvyn made the above-mentioned
statement during the working visit to Zhytomyr region.
V. Lytvyn reminded that the authors of the Draft State Budget were led by a new version of the Budget Code, consequently, "the resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to return this document to the Cabinet of Ministers is logical, although it fails to comply with the Budget Code of Ukraine". However, he added: "Is there anything that complies with it?"
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada calls for setting up a working group to work over the State Budget for 2010. This group is supposed to consist from the Ministers and Chairmen of the Profile Committees. Still, according to the Chairman, "nobody is interested in the adoption of the Budget as the Party of Regions is sure that they will win the elections and, consequently, adopt their own Budget; the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc and Cabinet of Ministers are not willing to work over the Budget either", - he added.
The leader of the Parliament also emphasized that the Law on the Sate Budget was supposed to be adopted immediately, "as it shall be a Budget for the country."
During the working visit to Zhytomyr region, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine observed the work of "Korosten Chemical Machinery Construction Plant" OJSC and met it personnel. In the course of the conversation, they spoke about the necessity of domestic support of the industry. This plant was one of the main enterprises in the machinery construction in the Soviet Union.

Lytvyn met medical personnel of Ovruch central regional hospital and opened a new cabinet of modern
roentgenology cabinet. According to the employees of the hospital, this equipment was of great importance, since this region belongs to
Chornobyl disaster area.
The leader of the Parliament presented kits for the newborn to the maternity home of this hospital.
V. Lytvyn also visited St. Basil Church in Ovruch.
